We are convinced that over the long-term and harmonious development of society, that the desire to meet human needs now and in the future is impossible without the rational use of natural resources, waste recycling and secondary use of raw materials.
Every year, GTV brand companies import and repair about 1000 variously purposed inoperative vehicles (ENTP), which account for about 900 tonnes of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. 30 to 40 per cent of this mass of waste is converted into recyclable components, corresponding to about 80,000 units of the company’s items annually.
We process waste in order to recycle or reuse ENTP and their components. We do this manually by using mechanical and electrical tools for the separation of ENTPs and parts. ENTP decontamination includes the removal of hazardous liquids, and dismantlement of the hazardous components of vehicles. We disassemble and store all parts of vehicles in such a way as to ensure their suitability for re-use.
All hazardous and non-hazardous wastes generated during the ENTP handling process, when not converted into our products, are transferred for final processing only to licensed waste handlers: UAB ŽALVARIS, UAB Baltic Metal, UAB Atliekų tvarkymo centras. New automotive components are made of raw materials recovered during recycling.
In order to implement our obligations as an importer of vehicles, we have joined APIA, the Automotive Manufacturers and Importers Association, which monitors the proper collection and management of ENTP, and raises the awareness of the public.
